Nothing heralds the Christmas season quite like the warm glow of festive lights. On Wednesday 16th November 2011, Truro will once again light up in spectacular fashion as the hugely anticipated City of Lights festival and parade delights the gathered crowds.
The event sees a dazzling procession of withy and tissue lanterns float through the streets, handmade and carried by professional artists, Cornish school children and local community and youth groups. This year’s theme is Wildlife – who knows where the artists imagination will take them this year? This year’s event will include the official switch on of Truro’s Christmas lights, plus music and dance from Truro School of Samba and other local bands.
